Would you love to spend your day surrounded by happy dogs?

Yes, you will have lots of interaction with dogs, including playtime and walks. BUT, you will also be picking up pee and poop, cleaning kennels, washing dishes, and doing laundry. We go outside in all types of weather, with the exception of thunderstorms and extreme heat or cold.

If you like being physically active and are looking for a job that is fulfilling and truly changes dogs' lives, Fast Friends has two opportunities for animal lovers with a passion for dog rescue and dedication to compassionate companion animal care.

Doggy Daycare / Boarding Caregivers:

Make sure Fast Friends is "a fun place for dogs" of all ages, sizes, and breeds by:

• supervising playgroups

• learning individual dogs' needs and preferences

• communicating with customers about their dog's experiences

Shelter Dog Caregiver:

Provide hands-on daily care for the rescue dogs available for adoption, such as:

• walks and practicing good leash manners

• playtime and enrichment activities

• practicing other skills that will be needed in a home

With both positions, you will be on your feet and busy for most of the day, completing general care tasks like:

• preparing and serving meals

• bringing dogs to and from relief yards

• picking up messes (pee and poop)

• cleaning kennels (sweep, mop, disinfect)

• doing laundry

• washing dishes

You do not need to have previous experience with dogs to apply! (although candidates with experience are given preference and may be eligible for higher starting pay)

Skills needed to be successful in these positions:

• Excellent communication with team members, supervisors, and customers

• Enjoy being physically active, with some time outdoors each day

• Detail-oriented and observant

• Team-oriented

* Fast Friends requires near-perfect attendance: we do our best to accommodate time off requests, but no dog staying with us will ever receive anything less than the absolute best care, and that means fully-staffed shifts every single day. Please consider your winter driving situation, as we are open 365 days a year—dogs need to be fed and walked even when it is snowing. *
