Spotlight on: Ava
Spotlight on: Ava
Spunky Ava is a wadi dog from the country of Oman. Wadi dogs are sighthounds, descended from salukis but now recognized as a breed on their own. They are known to be very intelligent and loyal companions.
Ava is a more outgoing girl than her sister, Asha, whom we also “spotlighted.” Ava is shy, but warms up to people in a little time. Once she gets to know you, she loves to go for walks and her leash manners are some of the best at Fast Friends! Her favorite part of a walk is to sit down occasionally, so that you can pat her and tell her how good she is doing.
Ava’s favorite toys are squeaky tennis balls, with which she loves to roll around. She also enjoys playing in the kiddie pools and chomping at the water when she’s especially happy. Ava is simply the sweetest dog once you get to know her.
Ava would really like a home that is quiet, with a moderate activity level, and with people who understand that it will take her time to adjust to new people and situations. We know that home is out there for her. She will become a wonderful companion if given the chance.
