Many of the dogs at Fast Friends have stories that are just as tragic. Your support brings meat trade dogs from China to Fast Friends. These dogs come to Fast Friends from unspeakable horror, having experienced the depths of cruelty humans are capable of and barely escaping a brutal fate. But these dogs’ spirits aren’t broken. It may take some time, but once staff earns their trust, these dogs blossom and break out of their shut-down shells.

Most of the dogs at Fast Friends have never experienced the hardship that the meat trade survivors have. Retired racers in Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland come to us from partner groups who truly love them. But being cared for in a kennel is not the same as being a family member in a home.
